Boy Scout Troop's Equipment Trailer Stolen
Boy Scout Troop 1493 returned home from a Camporee weekend to discover that their trailer had been stolen from the parking lot which houses their gear. The trailer's lock had been cut, and the thief had made off with a trailer specifically designed for the Boy Scouts needs, according to Troop Leader Louis Quevedo. Inside, the trailer had numerous tents, dutch ovens, chuck boxes, utensils and other cooking supplies, and even firewood. The loss of the equipment has an estimated cost of nearly $10,000, and puts events the scouts had been looking forward to this summer in jeopardy.
