Mosquito Joe Comes to Tomball
With the May floods, Tropical Storm Bill, and all the rain in between, the mosquito population is thriving. In a season where families envisioned outdoor patio barbecues, even if the rain wasn't keeping us inside, the mosquitoes might. Not only are they a pest, but with a case of West Nile already diagnosed in the area, it is a safety concern as well. There is no vaccination for West Nile for humans, and prevention is key. So, it makes perfect sense, and will come as a relief to some residents, that Montgomery County paramedics Kate Kimpton and Paul Gould have bought in to the Mosquito Joe franchise, and will be bringing their services to Tomball. The company specializes in mosquito control for residential and commercial areas. For those that have been, or may be, infected with the West Nile virus, the company is offering free sprays until the end of the year. Additionally, the company is revving up to celebrate Mosquito Awareness Week, starting this June 22nd, with their "Bloodsuckers Campaign." During that week, Mosquito Joe will be donating 10% of their revenue to a local blood bank.
