Grandson Charged In Grandma's Murder
On Sunday, 03.12.2017, at approximately 12:40 P.M., Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a Welfare Check, at 17018 E Longwood Meadows DR, in northwest Harris County. When deputies arrived on the scene, they met with family members who advised the grandson, Nathan Billingsley W/M 21 years of age, had threatened to kill his grandmother, Hazel Billingsley W/F 67 years of age. The family last spoke with Ms. Billingsley the previous evening. When family members were unable to make contact with her on Sunday, they drove to the residence, where they observed Nathan Billingsley loading personal items into Ms. Billingsley’s car. Nathan Billingsley and his girlfriend fled the residence on foot.
Deputies were called to the scene, where they located Ms. Billingsley’s body wrapped in a blanket, inside a metal shed, in the backyard of the residence. Deputies searched a wooded area near the residence and located Nathan Billingsley and his girlfriend hiding. Nathan Billingsley was armed with a handgun. Nathan Billingsley and his girlfriend were both detained and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit for questioning.
Murder charges have been filed against Nathan Billingsley, and he is being held in the Harris County Jail on $200,000 bond.
His girlfriend was released to family members.
