Tomball Man Wanted For Child Abuse
[Tyler]
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Unit investigators have charged a 19-year-old from Tomball and his girlfriend for the injuries sustained to her 8-month-old baby.
On March 14, 2107, Investigators were called to the Northwest Medical Center on 1960 near Spring after medical staff became concerned to injuries presented to them.
Doctors say that Kardea Lockett (18, Houston) and her boyfriend Nicholas Tyler (19, Tomball) brought the child to the emergency room after a soft spot had developed on the child’s head. Lockett repeatedly gave different versions of what happened and doctors contacted investigators.
She told investigators the child had fallen trying to crawl and stand next to a piece of furniture...The injuries were not consistent with the incident. Furthermore, a CAT scan found that the child had over 20 different forms of healed and new fractures.
Investigators interviewed Tyler and Lockett, but they both had inconsistencies in their statements as to how the child had so many injuries.
