Deputies arrested a Tomball man this week for starting a mattress fire in his yard that spread to his neighbor's home.
On Wednesday, December 6, Harris County Sherriff’s Office Criminal Warrants Division arrested Jason Herman on an open warrant for reckless arson to a residence located in the 9900 block of Berry Orchard Ln in Tomball on November 25.
“Investigators determined Herman set fire to a mattress and box spring that was located between his residence and his neighbor’s residence,” said Public Information Officer Rachel Moreno. “The fire spread to the neighbor’s home."
It is believed that Herman was angry after an argument with his roommate the night prior to the fire and made threats to burn the house down...He just caught the wrong house on fire.
