According to reports from PCT 4, on July 1, 2019, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a residence in the 23900 block of Augusta Falls Lane in reference to a disturbance between two juveniles ages 10 and 14 and their parents.
Upon the deputy arriving, he observed the juveniles near the front door, injured. The deputy quickly approached the front door to help the kids when the father attempted to slam the door shut. The Constable Deputy attempted to push the door to prevent it from shutting, causing pain to his right wrist and hand. The suspect then put his arms around the deputy preventing him from being able to move. The deputy was able to take him to the ground at which time he continued to resist until another deputy arrived and used less lethal force to neutralize the suspect. He was detained and identified as Michael Bloom.
Further investigation revealed that during a verbal altercation, Michael Bloom grabbed the 10 year old by the back of the head and threw him against the frame of the front door, causing pain to the child's left shoulder.
Sara Clark, the children's mother, then grabbed the 14 year old and pushed her into the wall, causing her injury to both of her elbows and back.
EMS arrived on scene to treat the children for their injuries. Child Protective Services were contacted and advised the facts of this case.
"The parents were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Injury to a Child. Michael Bloom received an additional Assault on a Police Officer charge. Their bond and court information have not been set at this time." -Constable Mark Herman
