Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Seizes 8 Killograms Of Heroin
On Friday, September 4, 2020, a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Deputy assigned to the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team was patrolling in the area of Interstate 45 and South Loop 336 when he observed a black vehicle traveling south at speeds greater than the posted speed limit.
A traffic stop was initiated in the area of Interstate 45 and FM 1488.
During the course of the investigation, several individually wrapped bundles were discovered in the vehicle.
Further inspection of the bundles yielded approximately 8 kilograms of heroin with a street value of approximately $800,000 dollars.
The driver, identified as Hugo Sanchez-Soanes and passenger, identified as Joaquin Sonanes-Maldonado, were subsequently placed into custody for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
