Tomball ISD Names New Oakcrest Intermediate Principal
Leblanc joins Tomball ISD with over 22 years of invaluable experience in education, having served as both a campus administrator and teacher.
"I am thrilled and feel extremely blessed to be chosen to join the Tomball ISD and Oakcrest Intermediate School family,” Leblanc said. “I cannot wait to meet all the students, parents and staff where I will work to support staff in the quest for excellence in learning for all students!"
He comes directly from Conroe ISD where he served that district since 2015 in two administrative roles, most recently as Associate Principal for Administration at The Woodlands High School and prior to that, as Assistant Principal at McCullough Junior High.
Before joining Conroe ISD, he served Spring ISD as a campus administrator from 2003 to 2015 as Assistant Principal at Westfield High School (2003-06), Associate Principal at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School (2006-08), Principal at Dueitt Middle School (2008-13) and as the district’s Human Resources Director (2013-15).
Leblanc not only brings with him years of service as a campus leader but experience as a classroom teacher. He began his education career as a Special Education teacher in Conroe ISD (1998-01) before moving on to teach Special Education in Spring ISD (2001-03).
Recognized for his outstanding leadership and teaching over the years, Leblanc was recognized as the 2014 Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Region IV Outstanding Middle School Principal, 2013 Spring ISD Secondary Principal of the Year, 2010 Spring ISD Secondary Principal of the Year and 1999 Caney Creek High School Outstanding Teacher.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Lamar University, a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Sam Houston State University and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education from Lamar University.
