No legitimate company is going to ask for log in information, account numbers, personal identification information, etc.

Be very cautious what information you give out online or over the phone.

Also be cautious making local purchases online.

If a seller is asking for money up front or in advance, be cautious doing business with them.

Be careful of contractors as well.

Plumbers, repairmen, etc.

Unfortunately there are those out there that will try to take advantage of people.

Be wary of any contractor asking for payments up front, such as payments for supplies or services not yet provided, or upcharges for “priority” services.

“Everyone needs to pay close attention, criminals will use every opportunity when we are most vulnerable.” - Constable Mark Herman.

If you think you have been the victim of a scam or know of any other local, phone or online scam attempts, please contact law enforcement direct.
