TISD Students Earn Best of Show, Gold Medal, Special Merit Honors at HLSR Art Show
omball ISD student artists recently competed in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Program. Exemplifying excellence in their specific art, 13 students across six campuses earned Best of Show, Gold Medal, or Special Merit honors.
In addition to these awarded pieces, and in an effort to promote the district’s talented student artists, Tomball ISD recently hosted its annual Rodeo Art Show at the Tomball Event Center.
This Tomball ISD Rodeo Art Show featured right at 500 entries across all campuses, from grades K-12. The 13 art pieces that earned Best of Show, Gold Medal, and Special Merit honors are on display in Houston awaiting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, but were featured digitally in Tomball ISD.
Earning Best of Show honors:
Elementary: Kavya Sivakumar, Oakcrest Intermediate | “Goldine”
