Suspect Arrested for Stabbing Victim in Stomach
On March 7, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the Porter Meadow Lane in reference to an in progress assault where a male was stabbed.
Deputies quickly arrived, located the victim and provided him first aid.
He was later transported by an ambulance to a local hospital in stable condition.
The suspect refused all verbal commands given to him.
After a brief struggle, a deputy utilized his department issued Taser and he was safely detained and identified as Jamal Ashmeade.
Further investigation revealed that he was on bond for Aggravated Assault and Retaliation.
"Jamal Ashmeade was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault and Violation of Bond Conditions.
