Arrest Made in Credit Card Abuse Case at Local Restaurant

On September 12, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 8100 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway West in reference to a credit card abuse type call.
Upon deputies arriving, the complainant advised someone used his credit card without consent.
Further investigation revealed that the victim provided his credit card to a cashier to purchase food at a local Popeyes Restaurant.
The cashier never returned the card but was witnessed on camera pocketing the card.
The cashier was detained and identified as Lamont Langford, who admitted to using the customer's card for his own purposes.
"Lamont Langford was arrested and booked in the the Harris County Jail, charged with Credit Card Abuse.
His bond was set at $2,500.00 out of the 183rd District Court." - Constable Mark Herman
