As part of our ongoing "Getting to Know Your Local Businesses" series, this week we sat down with Sandra Cegielski, Owner of The LampPost Boulevard.

Tell us a bit about your business:  What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
My business is an antique, vintage home decor shop. We offer everything from furniture, mirrors, benches, lamps, glassware, signs, knick-knacks and unique handmade items.

How did you decide to get involved in this line of work? How did the business get started?

I started working in the antique business about 8 years ago. I had a fortunate opportunity arise and was able to open my own shop in February 2016.

Tell us a couple things you are proud of about your business. What are you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I'm most proud of taking unwanted items and turning them into a new-found treasure. My pricing and the unique items I find are what separates me from my competition.

What is your favorite part of running this business?
My customers and the excitement in their eyes when they find a treasure for their home.

Can you tell us something about yourself as the business owner? What is your background?
I love antiques and vintage things.  I guess that's pretty much my story.... I love the look of mixing together the old with the new.

Are there any special promotions, annual sales, or special events that you'd like to mention?
