Accounting Group, LLC.
Tell us a bit about your business: What does your business offer, and how long have you been around?
For
the past 20 years, we’ve been advising individuals and business owners
about tax and accounting-related tasks. We take away the worry that our
neighbors have about their accounting.
Whether
you need tax preparation and advising, online bookkeeping, payroll,
remote accounting, job costing, financial planning, audit assistance,
budget preparation, review of financial statement chart of accounts,
business translation process flow, evaluation of management prepared
financial statements, or management analysis of financial statements
compilations, we’re ready to take these tasks off your hands as a
full-service CPA firm.
How did you decide to get involved in this line of work?
Previously,
we were known as Johnson & Parker and I acquired the company in
July 2019. We’ve kept the same great staff and service.
Before the
acquisition, I was a corporate employee. With an MBA from Oklahoma City
University, I always dreamed of owning a small business and decided to
buy an existing CPA firm to launch my venture. This company has a solid
reputation, experienced accountants, and long-term client relationships;
it was what I wanted. The company had no website and did no marketing.
Instead, they had grown purely and consistently by word of mouth.
I wanted to grow this company to have real conversations with our neighbors about their personal or business finances.
Tell
us a couple of things that you are proud of in your business. What are
you known for? What separates you from the competition?
I’m
most proud of how we engage with our clients, adapting to meet each of
their needs. We understand that each individual or business owner has
different accounting needs and wants flexibility. 
We
offer different levels of service. For example, we have developed a
unique system that makes it quick and easy to file your taxes. If you
prefer to work with us remotely, you will find our services are the
right fit. We provide the same online service level that you would
receive sitting in our office, and we use the most secure methods to
transmit your private information.
What is your favorite part of running this business?
I
enjoy visiting with my neighbors and having conversations about
accounting-related problems. When I hear that someone has hit a tax or
accounting-related roadblock, my team and I work quickly and efficiently
to solve their issue.
